U of I Summer Band to perform "Music of Illinois" concert

The University of Illinois Summer Band's 104th Twilight Concert season will kick off on Thursday, June 19, 2014 with a special concert featuring music that was especially written for or has become synonymous with the University.
Guest conductors will include William Kisinger, son of former Marching Illini director Everett D. Kisinger; Mark Duker, grandson of former associate director of bands Guy M. Duker and Robert Hindsley, son of former director of bands Mark Hindsley. The master of ceremonies for the concert will be band alumnus David Shaul. 

Selections will include Illinois Loyalty, Oskee Wow Wow, Pride of the Illini, March of the Illini, Glory of the Gridiron, Entrance #3, Sousa's University of Illinois March, Goldman's Illinois March and others.  Robert Hindsley will conduct the ensemble in his father's transcription of Wagner's Elsa's Procession to the Cathedral.
Band alumni are invited to join the University of Illinois Summer Band.
